Facial asymmetry assessment in skeletal Class III patients with spatially-dense geometric morphometrics. Y Fan, W He, G Chen, G Song, H Matthews, P Claes, R Jiang, T Xu.

Soft tissue asymmetry is predominately presented in the lower-third of the face in skeletal Class III patients and with various variations on other facial anatomical regions. Morphometric techniques and computer intensive analysis have allowed sophisticated quantification and visualization of the pointwise asymmetry on the full face.

A Solution to Face-to-Face Contact in Tele-Presence Systems. X Zhou, P Boulanger.

Date: June 2015 Source: 2015 12th Conference on Computer and Robot Vision (CRV) Proceedings (p 230 – 236), Halifax, Canada. Abstract: In tele-presence systems, direct face-to-face contact, is essential for emotional communication as it carries non-verbal clues. In commercial products, face-to-face contact is approximated by using either a large semi-transparent mirror to project an image…

Analysis of Forces Generated by N95 Filtering Facepiece Respirator Tethering Devices: A Pilot Study. R Roberge, G Niezgoda, S Benson

Date: June 2012. Source: Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene; Volume 9, Issue 8, pp 517-23. Abstract: The restorative forces of elasticized tethering devices on N95 filtering facepiece respirators (N95 FFR), that occur in response to the application of a load (applied force) during donning, create the requisite pressure to effectively seal the respirator against…
