SANTA BARBARA – January 19, 2006 - 3dMDvultus inc (www.3dMD.com), a market-specific 3D imaging and application company focused on building a broad set of 3D software visualization and analysis tools for the dental specialty community, is proud to announce the general release of the Arnett 3D Treatment Planning Software Module at the Sixth Annual Advanced Orthognathic Surgery Foundation Meeting in Santa Barbara, California (January 19-21, 2005). The latest module for 3dMDpatient is a direct result of close cooperation with G William Arnett, DDS, FACD.

With 3dMD’s facial soft tissue data as a foundation, 3dMD has assisted Dr Arnett in transitioning his highly recognized evaluation and treatment techniques from a visual 2D photograph-based environment to a highly precise 3D image-based platform. The Arnett 3D Module will provide a powerful tool to the orthodontic and facial reconstruction communities that systematically approach facial planning from an objective, quantitative standpoint.

Dr Arnett graduated with honors from the University of Southern California Dental School in 1972 and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of California at Los Angeles. He practiced comprehensive oral surgery until 1985 when he limited his practice strictly to facial reconstruction. As a lecturer and clinical professor, Dr Arnett trains both orthodontic and surgical residents for the University of California at Los Angeles, University of Southern California, Loma Linda University and University Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Arnett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and has been honored as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Currently, half of Dr Arnett's professional time is dedicated to teaching surgeons and orthodontists around the world who request his computerized courses. This computerized format provides tremendous enhancement to the educational experience and consistently receives an “excellent” rating from attendees.
